Join Joanne Treistman, Paula Blumenthal and Brenda Nolan to explore what a Circle is and how it brings together those who want to listen to one another. The Circle’s structure creates an opportunity for all of us, in community together, to speak our truth and be heard by each other; we come together as equals, seek a deeper understanding of ourselves and each other; and how to move forward in a way that values everyone’s needs. Facilitators bring topics and welcome participant ideas for the next circle.
Plan on a short first group meeting. (So it won’t be dark on the way home.) We establish guidelines in a Circle to help support us in speaking our truth honestly from our heart. We pass a talking piece to indicate who is speaking and we respect each other’s time and thoughts. Community Circle Falmouth is volunteer-led and has been practicing for three years, the Circles meet at the Falmouth Senior Center, Falmouth Housing Authority and on-line on Zoom, once a month. Please join us to explore how learning to listen can be a new experience. Kay Pranis says that you are never alone when you are in a Circle.
