Wunee keesuq, Kitty Hendricks-Miller, Otter Clan, Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe is the Indian Education Coordinator for the Mashpee Wampanoag’s tribal education department. This department advocates for and supports native students and their families for quality education, increased self-esteem and native pride.
Formerly a cultural historic interpreter, food historian, and museum teacher at Plimoth Plantation, Ms. Hendricks-Miller has a background in early childhood education and was a substitute teacher for FPS teaching Pre-K. Currently she is a member of the Wampanoag Nation Singers and Dancers, which incorporates traditional instruments and native cultural components in all of their programming for both Indian education and public programs.
