We will have a special guest: Je Exodus Hooper (they/them). Je is a clergy leader with the American Ethical Union (a humanist movement dating back to 1877) and a current Ph.D. candidate. In Je’s words, their ministry “is focused on decolonizing humanism and Black Intellectual Thought.” Je seeks to “emphasize human freedom through embodiment, intuition, creativity, and improvisation.” The sermon will take the form of a conversation between Je and Rev. David on humanism and the meaning of family. This service will also honor the Winter Solstice.
