Kintsugi- (金継ぎ, “golden joinery”), also known as kintsukuroi (金繕い, “golden repair”), is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum; the method is similar to the maki-e technique.
Two sessions- pack a lunch. WLL will have drinks and we will work on the metaphor of broken things in ourselves and in our lives being repaired-meet at the Meeting House at 12:30pm
May 15th- Break and glue together pottery( which I have if you don’t) -unless you have your own pottery that is broken
May 22nd- Paint and beautify the pottery.
