Social and Environmental Action Overview
Unitarian Universalists believe that we have a responsibility to work for social and environmental justice. We ask our members and friends to let their actions speak their values concerning compassion, justice, peace and stewardship of the earth. We also strive to protect and preserve the inherent worth and dignity of all people. We welcome all ideas to achieve these goals.

The Social Action Committee engages in activities to support the community and the membership and friends of UUFF. Here are some of the activities:
Share the Plate
Local Giving Program – The committee sells gift cards for various grocery stores who donate 5% of the value of the cards to UUFF
Food Collection for the three Food Pantries: Falmouth, Bourne and Sandwich.
Rachel Carson Event – An event in the fall to celebrate the life of Rachel Carson. It is usually a fundraiser for a local charity.
Fair Trade Foods Sale- Coffee and Chocolate are sold periodically after the Sunday Service. The products are purchased from Equal Exchange and sold at cost.
