SUNDAY SERVICE AT 10:00AM

SUNDAY SERVICE AT 10:00AM

Wonder and Awe

We live out the principles of Unitarian Universalism with a “living tradition” of wisdom and spirituality, drawn from sources as diverse as science, poetry, scripture, and personal experience. In the first of the six sources, UU congregations affirm and promote the “Direct experience of that transcending mystery and wonder, affirmed in all cultures, which moves […]

Examining Our Roots

One of the six sources of Unitarian Universalism is “Jewish and Christian teachings that call us to respond to God’s love by loving our neighbors as ourselves.” Is this truly an accurate representation of our relationship with Christianity? We will explore this question in relation to both our individual congregation and our faith at large.

The Promise of Unitarian Universalism

Larry Ladd is the Chair of the Denominational Affairs Committee and our Delegate to General Assembly. We will honor and celebrate Unitarian Universalism as a faith community of over a thousand congregations, including our annual gathering of thousands of us at our General Assembly. Kathi Sommers will be the Service Associate.

The ‘Origen’ of Unitarian Universalism

UUism as we know it was formed by a merging in 1961, but  “Unitarianism” and “Universalism” are far older concepts. Fresh off his bachelor’s degree in the history of Christianity, Daniel Mark Welch will talk about how early Christian thinkers such as Origen, Augustine, and Arius influenced our modern tradition.  Share the Plate on July […]

Hymn Service

For this service we will sit in the round and sing our favorite hymns led by Fred Johnson and Nancy Wendlandt. Julie DeSorgher will be the Service Associate.

Breakfast Sunday

To start off the summer season, we will share a Congregational Breakfast instead of a traditional service starting at 10 AM. Bring something to share or just bring yourself for coffee, food and conversation.

General Assembly

We will come together at the Meeting House to watch the GA Sunday Worship live streamed from Pittsburg. To accommodate time zone differences, the service will be broadcasted live from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM. Because of this, we will have coffee hour first from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. This will be in-person only. If […]

You Can Get Here From There

All of us worry about where we are going at the expense of truly knowing the here and now. Dan Joslyn, a longtime friend of UU Falmouth and a transmitted Zen Priest, will explore the Zen Buddhist concept of space and time, with an eye toward growth and aging through a contemporary exploration of: to […]

Flower Communion & Flower Stories

Join us for the 100th anniversary of the UU Flower Communion service. Please bring a single flower to place in the sanctuary vase as we build a beautiful membership bouquet. Enjoy flower-themed stories from some of the Writing Time folks and take home a different flower stem at the end of the service. New Member […]

Music Sunday

The UU Falmouth Choir, directed by Frederick Johnson and accompanied by Nancy Wendlandt, will present Music Sunday. There will be readings, meditations, hymns, anthems and a performance by the chiming group to affirm why music and the choir are such an important aspect of our spiritual journey. Come and join us!
