The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Falmouth and its musicians invite the public to attend the UUFF annual Music Sunday celebration, “Music of the Stars.” The service will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024, starting at 10:00 AM at the meetinghouse, 840 Sandwich Road in East Falmouth.
The UUFF choir, directed by Frederick Johnson, will present a program which includes readings, anthems, hymns, and instrumentals. According to Music Director Fred Johnson, Music Sunday is a very special event at UUFF because it emphasizes the profound importance of music in the congregation’s spiritual journey.
Music and readings will reflect this deep connection between music and spirituality. Choir selections will include “Illumina oculos meos” by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, “Keepers of a Light” by Tom Benjamin, Betsy Jo Angebranndt’s “Out of the Stars,” “Pass on the Light” by Clif Hardin, and Jacob Narverud’s “Ad Astra.”This service will engage you in joyful sounds from our choir and musicians.
